The 2UP story so far: losing bets paid out early in 50 different matches

The Rossoneri haven’t climbed the Serie A table since hiring Sergio Conceicao at the end of 2024, but they’ve mastered the art of recovering from 2DOWN. They first did it against Inter in January to win the Supercoppa Italiana final 3-2, then repeated the comeback away to Lecce in March before fighting back from 0-2 down at home to Fiorentina for a point last weekend.

In previous seasons, a Man City 2-goal advantage felt like a near-guarantee of victory, but not in 2024/25. In late November, they led Feyenoord 3-0 at home with 17 minutes remaining and found a way to draw 3-3, before being held at Brentford after going 2UP on 14th January. Things went even worse 8 days later in the Champions League when they went 2-0 ahead away to PSG with a pair of goals at the start of the second half, only to still wind up losing 2-4.

Top league for 2UP turnarounds: LaLiga
Spain’s top division looks likely to be the first competition to reach double figures for 2UP turnarounds having delivered 9 between 23rd November 2024 and 16th March 2025. The first saw Barcelona draw 2-2 after going 2UP at Celta Vigo, while the leaders rallied from 2DOWN at Atletico Madrid to claim a vital 4-2 win in the latest. With 8 occurrences, the Bundesliga is the second most prolific league for 2UP early payouts on teams who failed to take 3 points.

Hottest 2UP turnaround month yet: March 2025
December 2024 held the record with 11 separate 2UP turnarounds but that was blown away in March 2025 with 15 different early payouts on teams who didn’t go on to win. This included our first 3 African-based encounters as we began offering 2UP on CAF World Cup Qualifying: Zimbabwe 2-2 Benin, Gambia 3-3 Kenya and Eswatini 3-3 Mauritius. Could April be even hotter?
