Two winning betslips win a getaway for two. Every leg from the World Cup category. The highest winning odds take it, not the biggest stakes. Bet from 1 to 19 July, exclusive to MTN subscribers.

Why Enter The Pawa Trip?

  • Two winning betslips win: the two highest winning betslips across the competition each win an all-inclusive couple getaway. Two couples travel, four people in total.

  • Your odds decide it, not your stake: the win comes down to your winning odds, so a small stake matters as much as a big one.

  • Quick to top up with MoMo: deposit with MTN MoMo to fund your bets in seconds and get straight into the competition.

  • Nothing extra to do: there is no separate sign-up and no extra step. Bet the way you already do, and a winning slip is your entry.

  • Exclusive to MTN subscribers: bet and top up with MTN MoMo to take part.

What Is The Pawa Trip?

The Pawa Trip is a betPawa competition exclusive to MTN subscribers. Place your bets between 1 and 19 July, and if they win, your odds put you on the board. When the competition closes, the two betslips with the highest winning odds each win a 2-day getaway for a couple.

Your winning odds are simply the odds on a betslip that wins. The higher your odds, the closer you are to the prize. Your stake makes no difference, so you bet what fits your budget.

How It Works

  1. Log in to betPawa with your MTN number.

  2. Top up with MTN MoMo, or use the balance you already have.

  3. Place a bet on any match in the World Cup category between 1 and 19 July.

  4. Win your bet. Only winning betslips count.

  5. The two highest winning betslips win. Each one takes a getaway for two.

What Are 1UP And 2UP?

1UP and 2UP are two ways to get paid early on betPawa. With 1UP, your bet wins as soon as the team you backed goes one goal ahead, even while the match is still being played.

With 2UP, it wins once your team goes two goals ahead. Either way, you can be paid before the final whistle, and you keep the win even if the score changes after.

Both work on matches in the World Cup category during the competition window. So, a winning 1UP or 2UP slip counts towards the Pawa Trip as long as every leg is from the World Cup category, like any other qualifying bet.

Important to Know

  • Exclusive to MTN subscribers: bet and top up with MTN MoMo to take part. Already deposited another way? You're still in, as long as you're betting on your MTN number.

  • Which bets count: World Cup only. Every leg on your betslip must be a World Cup category match. A slip with any non-World Cup leg does not count.

  • Competition window: 1 to 19 July 2026. Bets placed outside these dates do not count.

  • Winning betslips only: a betslip has to win to count.

  • One win per person: even if more than one of your betslips win, only the one with the highest winning odds is in the running. You can take home one getaway.

  • We check each winner: betPawa confirms every winner before the announcement on 23 July.

  • Trip dates: 31 July to 2 August 2026. Winners need to be free to travel on these dates.

  • Photos and video: agreeing to photos and video is part of confirming each winner. If a winner does not agree, betPawa may withhold the prize. Winning footage is used in betPawa promotion.

  • You must be 18 or over to bet and to enter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who Can Enter The Pawa Trip?

Any betPawa user who is 18 or over and bets using their MTN number in the World Cup category.

How Do I Enter?

Place a winning bet between 1 and 19 July with every leg from the World Cup category, using your MTN number. There is no separate entry form. A winning betslip is your entry.

Do Virtuals Count?

No. Only real World Cup category matches count. Virtual matches do not, even if they are World Cup themed.

Do Cashed-Out Bets Count?

No. If you Cash Out a bet, it is settled at the Cash Out value, not at its winning odds, so it does not count. Bets paid early through 1UP or 2UP are different, those settle as wins at your odds and do count.

What Is The Prize?

An all-inclusive 2-day getaway to Lower Zambezi for two people. Two getaways are up for grabs in total, so two couples travel.

How Are Winners Chosen?

The two betslips with the highest winning odds across the competition each win a getaway, with one getaway per person. Only your betslip with the highest winning odds counts, so the two winners are two different players. Your stake size does not affect the result, it comes down to your winning odds.

Does My Stake Size Matter?

No. The win is decided by your winning odds, not how much you stake. Bet what fits your budget.

What If More Than One Of My Bets Wins?

If more than one of your slips wins, only the one with the highest winning odds counts towards the competition. You can win one getaway, no matter how many of your bets come in.

When Are Winners Announced?

Winners are verified by betPawa first, then announced on 23 July. The trip takes place from 31 July to 2 August.
